Martha “Marti” (Kendall) Phillips, 75, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2026 at her home.
She was born on July 29, 1950, in La Porte to Sherwood and Norma Ruth (Herzog) Kendall.
Marti loved the beach, spending time in South Haven, Michigan and going to the movies. She was a fantastic cook— known for her apple pies and Christmas cookies— who was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
Surviving are her daughters, Jenny (Jason) Scheuer and Elizabeth Lally; grandchildren, Zoe Scheuer, Evelyn Lally, Gabriel Lally, and Genevieve Lally; Brothers, Mark (Diane) and Jeff (Suzan) Kendall; sister, Mary (Andy) Kendall-Scanlon; brother-in-law, Dan Csanyi; and several much-loved nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chris Kendall; sister Sharlene Csanyi.
