Martha Ann (Richardson) Polasek of Palestine went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2025. She was born in Goose Creek, Texas on January 16, 1943, to Jimmy and Ruth Morel Richardson.

She was a lifelong resident of Palestine and attended Palestine Schools most of her life, as well as Stephen F. Austin State University. Martha was the first UIL All-State Soprano from P.H.S. She married Frank Polasek on June 8, 1968, in Houston, TX. They were happily married for 57 years. She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church where she served in many ministries over the years including the choir. Martha had a beautiful voice and blessed many people.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, James Keith (Jimmy) Richardson and Ruth Morel (Kelly) Richardson. She is survived by her husband, Frank Polasek; her brother, Fred Richardson and wife RutheAnn Thorsen Richardson; two sons and daughters- in- law, Jaye and Kim Curtis of Palestine, and Don and Kathy McBride of Onalaska, TX; grandson, Ricky Sanchez of Conroe, TX; granddaughters, Meagan Elise Ruth Vannatter (Curtis) and her husband Cory Vannatter of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Amber Pharris of Onalaska; great grandson, Jackson Pharris; many other grandchildren; and two nieces.

Pallbearers are Ricky Sanchez, Cory Vanatter, Tom Prater, Clyde Amick, Phillip Morris, and Jerry Fagalde.

Services for Martha Polasek will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 10th, at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Palestine. Interment will be in Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, TX, on Thursday, June 12th at 2:00 P.M.

A visitation will be held at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine on Monday, June 9th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
