Martha Dora Precht

Martha Dora Precht, 93, of Abington, PA passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025. Martha died peacefully, at her home at Sunrise of Abington.
Martha was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Dorothy Friedrich and Wendell Friedrich. She was also the loving stepdaughter of the late John Leach, and the half sister of the late John H. Leach.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, William Precht. Martha and Bill lived in Philadelphia and Willow Grove, PA, and for many years in Murray Hill, NJ before moving to Hockessin, DE in 1993.
She worked as an office administrator for many years. Martha and Bill were active in the Episcopal Church and volunteered at numerous organizations. After 20 years of volunteer service, they were named Volunteers of the Year by The Seamen's Center of Wilmington, in 2011. Martha and Bill loved to travel.
Martha is survived by her sister-in-law Joan Horvath of Jenkintown, PA and by nieces Emma Leach of Philadelphia and Sara Leach of Jenkintown.
Services for Martha will be private at the convenience of the family and are entrusted to the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, Jenkintown, PA.
