Martha J. (Steel) Ronk, 94, a resident of Embassy of Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon, and formerly of Washington Street., Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Embassy of Huntingdon Park. Born March 8, 1931 in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Hazel Lydia (Hack) Steel. She was united in marriage to William A. "Bill" Ronk on March 15, 1947, in Winchester, VA. Mr. Ronk preceded in death on September 24, 2022, after 75 years of marriage.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Ann (Ronk) Maceno and her husband, Richard, of Tyrone; six grandchildren, Jerry and Michael Price, Sammuel and William Harker, Ralph Brindle and Rachel (Maceno) Vaughn; and many great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Donna Keppler and Bonnie Ulsh, both of Huntingdon, and Mary Ann Sheeder of Todd. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Linda Price in 2012 and Susan Ronk and Patricia Brindle in 2016; two grandsons, Jonathan David Brindle in 2008 and Edward William Price in 2020; a brother, John Tracy Steel in 1975; a half-brother, Roy Dale Steel in 2012; and a sister, Neva Wright in 2022.
Mrs. Ronk attended the McConnellstown First Church of the Nazarene.
She attended the Calvin one-room school and Mount Union High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Ronk was employed as a nurse's aide for 16 years at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. She also worked part-time as a waitress at the former Grubb's Diner, Huntingdon.
She loved the outdoors and nature and enjoyed taking walks, flower gardening, and vacationing to Wildwood, NJ. Her other hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and reading in her spare time. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor George C. "Buddy" Baird officiating. Interment will be in the Cassville Cemetery, Cassville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Martha J. Ronk may be made to the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 313, State College, PA 16804.
