Martha Smith Obituary

At the age of four, Martha and the family moved to Arkansas.
On March 4, 1956, she married Lavernon Smith; to this union four children were born; in which two died in infancy.
Martha united with New Providence Baptist Church at an early age. She taught Sunday School, BTU, Red Circle and Sunshine Band.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, LaVernon Smith, one daughter, Cynthia Gail Smith and one son, Otis Lee Smith, three brothers, Cleverson Kennedy, Johnny Kennedy and Raymond Kennedy: five sisters, Arzola Clark, Doll Kennedy, Fenie Kennedy, her twin, Mary Williams and Hazel Kennedy.
Those left to cherish her loving and fond memories are two daughters, Marsha Spencer (Anthony) of Dallas, Texas and Melissa Kay Carter (Ronald) of Norphlet, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Jaleesa Carter of North Little Rock and one great grand, Jhordyn Rodgers of Norphlet, Arkansas; extended family, Jade, Jace, Ashley and Larry Wilson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
