He attended Washington High School in El Dorado AR. He was employed by Prescolite/Cooper Tire Company for 20+ years as an assembly worker and later retired. He enjoyed having a good time with his friends, going fishing, barbequing on his pit grill, and watching fishing/gaming, and HGTV shows

George departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Oak Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in El Dorado, AR.
He is survived by his wife Lora "Lola" Turner; two daughters, Eulonda Turner of Irving, TX and Lisa Turner of Dallas TX; two grandchildren, Ashley Lavine (Ashton), Robbyn Turner; three great-grandchildren, Anaiya Ford, Amari Ford and Laila Nelson; his siblings, two sisters, Helen Miller (Rev. Leon) of El Dorado, AR, and Queen Jones of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Charley Turner of Houston, TX and Felton Manning of El Dorado, AR; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and father, three brothers (James Manning, Troy Turner, Leroy Turner) and one sister (Catherine Turner-Highshaw).
