Reginald Lamar Caver, age 67, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 11, 2025, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born April 20, 1958, to the late Willie and Bobbie Jean Ruffin Caver in El Dorado, Arkansas.

He joined Holy Redeemer Catholic Church as a child and later, in his adult years, united with St. James Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Calloway.

Reginald graduated from El Dorado High School in 1976. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. After returning home in 1987, he worked various jobs dealing with maintenance and HVAC.

Reginald was known by many names, including Marty Caver and Reggie. He was known as the cameraman everywhere he went. Whether you were ready or not, a picture was going to be taken. He referred to himself as a master griller, an avid fisherman, and a volleyball referee. His greatest joy was being called “Papa” by his grandchildren. Reginald was a member of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Arkansas, PHA. And El Dorado Lodge #151.

Reginald is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bobbie Caver, and his son, Phillip Caver; grandson, Jordan Hall; sisters, Angel Caver and P. Angela Caver-King; and brothers, Rickey Caver, Antonio Caver, and Chico Caver.

Reginald leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Loretta Parker-Caver, and his sons, Jonathan Caver, Derrick Caver, Stephen Driver, Reginald Caver, Jr., Tori Hall (Angelica), Jermel Parker, and Marcus Parker. Sisters Barbara (Darrell) Porter, Sonya (R.J.) Hicks and La Tonya Caver. Brothers Andre (Debra) Caver, Sr., and Carlos Caver. 19 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
