Kathy Meeks, 73, a retired elementary teacher in the El Dorado School District and long-time resident of El Dorado, Arkansas, was born October 10th, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Charlie Hunter and Miriam Clay.
After a brief stint in the military, Kathy moved to El Dorado with her then husband and year old daughter, Melody Meeks, who preceded her in death.
She then had two more daughters: LeDonna Meeks of Fort Worth, TX, and Chiffon Meeks of West Monroe, LA.
Around 1980, Kathy dedicated her life to Jehovah through baptism and remained a faithful servant until she fell asleep in death.
Kathy was one of several siblings and was preceded in death by her sister Sherri Hunter Hatcher (Colorado Springs, CO), her brother Arthur Butler (of Chicago, IL), her sister in love Sonya Meeks Johnson (El Dorado, AR), her mother and father, and father in love Vernon Meeks, as well as her eldest daughter, Melody Meeks.
She is survived by her daughters, LeDonna and Chiffon Meeks, and Lydia Clark; six grandchildren: Sharneecia and Chloe Gatewood (El Dorado, AR), Keenan, Hunter, and McKenzi Meeks (Fort Worth, TX), and Tyler Hart (West Monroe, LA); and seven great grandchildren.
