Martha Janice Soper

Martha Janice (Dennis) Soper, 93, of Calico Rock, AR and Little Rock, went to be with the Lord quietly on Saturday morning, December 20, 2025, in the company of her loved ones.
Born the middle of five children in Waldo, AR on September 28, 1932, to the late Clifford and Paralee (Duke) Dennis. Graduating as Valedictorian of her class, she worked at the Union Rescue Mission and the Arkansas Department of Health in the Poison Control Center for many years.
Jan loved to meet new people and greatly enjoyed church. She will be remembered for her candor, her love of her family, and her significant interest in genealogy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Artell Dennis, Clara Dennis Wynn, Joe Dennis, and Phil Dennis. Jan is survived by her husband, Ed Soper of Calico Rock; daughter, Anita Susan McCallum of Maumelle; son, William Dennis Threet and wife Shirley Ruth of Adkins, TX; grandson, Andrew Ian McCallum of Maumelle.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia with a funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Eric Spangler officiating. Burial will be in the Waldo Cemetery in Waldo, AR.
