Martha Jane Stanford, passed away Sunday morning in Topeka Kansas at the age of 61.
She was born on January 15, 1964, in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
She loved life and loved her family very much. She loved listening to gospel music and singing and spending time with her family and friends, the outdoors and getting out and riding backroads in the country. Martha enjoyed going fishing with her late husband.
She was a loving mama, sister, aunt, and meme. Martha is survived by two sons, Donald Strickland (Tabitha) from Wildersville, TN, James Stanford from Flat Rock, North Carolina and two daughters Dellnour Sunshine Atkins (Johnny) and Sarah Stanford from Flat Rock, North Carolina. Two sisters, Marsha Saldana (Ronnie) and Barbara Ann Edwards. One brother William Richards (Janet). Nine grandchildren, Major Byrnside Dalton Atkins, Kadrienna Atkins, Jacob Atkins, Kaitlyn Green, Justin Green and James Stanford (Lacey), Jordan Lee, Shylaa Clark and Anthony Wooley, along with one great-granddaughter, Adalyn Jane Stanford, also survive.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Stanford, her parents Fred and Mary Richards, a sister Brenda Massey, a brother Billy Richards and by a grandson, Alexander Atkins.
She will be laid to rest in Elberta Alabama at Wynne Cemetery next to her husband, date and time has not been set yet.
