Martha "Mardi" Zelina

Martha "Mardi" Zelina, age 71, of Mentor, passed away suddenly on January 22, 2024. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 7, 1952 to the late Thomas and Edna Ross.
Mardi had a special place in her heart for animals and raised many different animals throughout her life. A true creative at heart, she had an eye for beauty and a talent for DIY projects and crafting. Moreover, Mardi's most cherished hobby was collecting an assortment of many different dolls. Mardi's love for life extended to the natural world, where she found solace in tending to her garden and creating picturesque landscapes.
Among her various hobbies and interests, Mardi's greatest joy came from being a devoted mother and grandmother. She poured her heart and soul into her role, finding solace and fulfillment in cooking for her family and being a constant source of love and support. Her presence provided a foundation of strength and warmth that will forever be treasured by her entire family.
Mardi was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Zelina for 27 years; loving mother of Nicholas Zelina (Cory Seigman), Joseph Zelina (Ashley Wittingen), and the late Matthew and Christopher Zelina; proud grandmother of Kaden, Dominic, Waverly Zelina; sister of James Ross (Donna); and caring aunt of John Ross, and Jennifer Ross-DiSanto.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11am at St Bede the Venerable Parish 9114 Lakeshore Blvd. Mentor, OH 44060. Urn burial to immediately follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
