It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Martin "Marty" Arthur Crawford of Hunt Valley. He passed peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Young Onset Alzheimer's on July 21, 2025. He married the love of his life, Nancy (nee Hess), 40 years ago and is survived by her, their two children, Kasey (Chris) Cambero and Jim (Casey) Crawford and the proud Poppy of three, Cameron and Khai Cambero and Nina Crawford. All three of these beautiful granddaughters brought him such joy. Marty was born on January 23, 1956, in Baltimore, to the late Arthur and Virginia (Dudzinski) Crawford and is survived by three siblings. Linda Moss (Dave), Patricia Aiken (Joe), and Jim Crawford (Janene) and many loving nieces and nephews. Marty's golf career spanned 46 years starting in the bag room at Hunt Valley Country Club at the age of 16, working his way up to Assistant Golf Pro and then moving to Mount Pleasant Golf Course as Head Golf Pro for a short while before going into the golf merchandising business repping for Spalding, Ashworth and Callaway until his early retirement at the age of 62 due to symptoms of younger onset Alzheimer's. He loved sports from our local Ravens and Orioles teams to college sports, especially University of Maryland Terps. He was known for his wit and humor and always had a joke which he enjoyed embellishing and leaving you hanging for the punchline. He loved writing limericks to his children, friends and family members for special occasions. Marty was a wonderful husband and father and great friend to so many. He was a devout Catholic and involved in The Catholic Community of St. Francis Men's Fellowship group and organized and traveled to Haiti for two mission trips. The family will receive friends at The Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier in Hunt Valley on Friday August 1, 2025, at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to YES!, a nonprofit public charity supporting the unique needs of families affected by younger onset dementia, an organization that has been incredibly helpful to Marty and his family during this journey. Donations may be made online at www.yessupport.org.

I worked with Marty for 10 years at Spalding Sports. We had a lot of fun at our meetings over the years. I am very sorry to hear he has passed. My condolences to the family.
