MOULTONBOROUGH – Martin B. MacArthur, 80, of Moultonborough, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 3, 2025. Born in Boston, MA to James E. MacArthur and Charlotte R. (Carey) MacArthur. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diane M. (Della Rocca) MacArthur; children, Steven MacArthur and wife Sandra of Salinas, CA., Terry Linder and husband Matthew Linder of Gilroy, CA., Linda Souchek and husband Richard of Sudbury, MA., Christine Jahn and husband Scott of Ashburnham, MA., and Tony MacArthur and wife Denise of Coldwater, MI; four grandchildren, Steven and Macy Linder, Nicholas MacArthur, and Renee MacArthur- Gardner; and three great-grandchildren. Martin was predeceased by his brother, James E. MacArthur, Jr. and uncle, Charles. B. Carey.

Growing up in Sudbury, MA, he spent much of his childhood on his family's farm where his uncle taught him all things mechanical and was drawn to tractors, trucks, boats, and Hot Rods. Martin spent summers on lake Winnipesaukee from birth at the family cottage in Moultonborough. Martin owned and operated Alpine Equipment Company in Sudbury and Wayland, MA, where he assisted Police and Fire Departments during emergency services. After retirement, he was presented with an award for 26 years of service by the Wayland Police Chief.

Martin's dream was to build a home where he could build a garage big enough to house his cars, trucks, and boats which he did for over 18 years. During his retirement Martin never passed up a chance to help a friend in need by fixing cars, trucks, and anything that ran on gas.

He also spent his retirement restoring many hot rods, trucks and his Century boat. He was a longtime member of the Ty-Rods Club of Concord, MA., and the New England Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society and was a past member of the Statewide Towing Association of MA.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
