Martin A. “Marty” Mayne, 61 of Charles Town, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Born on October 11, 1963, in Sandy Springs, MD the son of the late Gilbert C. Mayne Sr. and the late Betty Louise Mayne (née Frizzell).

Marty led a life filled with passion and enthusiasm, particularly for activities that brought him joy. His love for motorcycles was evident, and he found great happiness in the thrill of motocross, NASCAR, and drag racing. Known for visiting the 75/80 Dragway and High Rock, MD (The Rock), he embraced these hobbies with an infectious energy that attracted many to join in on the fun.

He is survived by his brother, Doug Mayne; daughter, Tayler Mayne; and granddaughter, Danielle Messer.

Marty was preceded in death by his siblings, Gilbert C. Mayne, Jr. and Brenda K. Coliflower.

A memorial gathering for Marty will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration of his life at 12:00 Noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., located at 1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD, 21784.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. to help defray funeral expenses.
