Martin J. McAveety "Marty", 91, of Runnemede, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

He was born on February 6, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA. Marty was a devoted husband of the late Jane (nee Bartleson). Beloved brother of Dolores and the late Donald. Stepfather of Kenneth Phillips. Dear uncle of Timothy Douglas (Kim) and Maureen Anderson (Bill). Loving grandfather of Francis Phillips, Kelly Phillips and Lauren Tomes. (John).

He will be sadly missed by his card playing lifelong friends at his home away from home, Thousand Trails Lake and Shore Campground (formerly Outdoor World) where friends became family. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School, Class of 1952. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer. He proudly served in the US Army.

There will be a viewing on August 9, 2025, Saturday from 10am to 11am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service 11am at the funeral home. The interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Marty's memory.
