Martin (Marty) James Oberman, Jr., age 66, of Edgewater, MD., passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025.
Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Ann Ray; his children Katerine (Nick) Pendergraph, Martin (aka Mac) and Liam Oberman and two grandchildren, Ronan and Mazie Pendergraph; his loving mother, Betty P. Oberman, siblings Cindy (Mark) Morgan, Maria (Todd) Melton, and Kevin Oberman, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marty is predeceased by his father, Martin J. Oberman, and sister, Carolyn Oberman.
Marty graduated from Bishop McNamara High School and spent most of his career as an electrician. In his later years, he worked for Dominoes, where he made many friends. From an early age, Marty loved collecting and building model cars and this hobby carried until his last days. Classic 60’s and 70’s cars were his favorite. He was especially proud of his 100% positive feedback on eBay. Marty also loved fishing and spending time with friends. He had a fantastic sense of humor and used it to make people around him smile.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, September 26 th from noon to 2:00 pm at Lee Funeral Home, 8200 Jennifer Ln, Owings, MD 20736, service will be at 2:00PM.
