Martin "Tony" Rivero

Martin Antonio "Tony" Rivero, age 68, passed away on May 2, 2025 at home in Acton, MA
with his family. Tony was born in Belize City, Belize, Central America to Domingo Guzman
and Jovina Zetina Rivero. He came to the United States almost 30 years ago, and became a
naturalized citizen in 2004. He was married in 1989 to Karen Louise (Ferland) Rivero for 36
years. Tony was very involved and proud of his family.
Tony was a graduate of the Holy Redeemer Primary School in Belize, and achieved his
bookkeeping and accounting diploma from the St. John's Extension College in Belize
City.Tony was a member of the American Society of Notaries and a Certified Senior Advisor.
He was an active member in the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce, including as an
Ambassador. He also served as a Boy Scout Troop Leader in Lewiston, Maine for his boys.
Tony lived in Braintree, MA before marrying Karen and moving to Lewiston, ME. They moved
to San Antonio, TX and then to Acton, MA while Karen served in the Air Force. He worked at
a variety of business in each location. In Acton, he and Karen opened a franchise location
of Visiting Angels.
He is predeceased by his parents, Domingo and Jovina; his sisters Carmita Salazar and
SaraFena Smith; his brother Manuel Rivero; his brother in law William Ferland; and his son
Michael Anthony Rivero. He is survived by his wife Karen, son Jeffrey Brian Ferland of San
Francisco, CA, daughter Jennifer Rose Rivero of Fort Worth, TX; his in laws Robert and
Jocelyn Ferland of Casco, ME and family, and Lynda and Charles Morin of Zephyr Hills, FL
and family; his brother Eduardo Rivero, and sisters Yolanda (Nellie) Sanchez, Joan Bey,
Sherrie Sabido, and Marissa Rivero; his in laws; and many nieces and nephews,
grandnieces and grandnephews, and great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
A wake will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 164 Newtown Road, Acton, MA on
Monday, May 5th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Burial will be privately with family.
