Martin Rodriguez, Sr., 72, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Visitation will be 9 AM until 9 PM Thursday with vigil service at 7 PM at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10 AM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Martin was born on July 29, 1950 in Knott, TX to Juana & Rafael Rodriguez. He was lifetime resident of Martin and Howard County and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Martin worked many years at Franklin & Son and he loved fishing & the Dallas Cowboys.
Martin is survived by his wife: Olga Rodriguez of Big Spring; 8 children: Steven Rodriguez (Micaela) of Stanton, Martin Rodriguez, Jr. (Diana) of San Angelo, Rachel Rodriguez of Big Spring, Diana Saenz (Robert) of Stanton, Gilbert Rodriguez of Stanton, Cecilia Cazares of Stanton, Mary Lou Cazares of Stanton, & Mary Jane Rodriguez Big Spring; mother: Juana Rodriguez of Stanton; 4 brothers: Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. of San Angelo; Luis Rodriguez of Stanton, Emilio Rodriguez (Eliay) of Caldwell, & Albert Rodriguez (Lillie) of Midland; 2 sisters: Sabrina Tracy (Mike) of Stanton & Ynez Santos of Stanton; a number of grandchildren & great grandchildren; and a number of nieces & nephews.
Martin was preceded in death by his father: Rafael Rodriguez, Sr.; sister: Tomasa Rodriguez; brother: Celistino Rodriguez & Guadalupe Rodriguez; and daughter: Rachel Rodriguez.
