Martin Roque (Marty), 76, of Shreveport LA, passed away on October 25, 2023
The Rosary will be held at St. Mary of the Pines on Saturday, November 04, 2023, at 9;00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM, with Father Mark Watson of St. Mary of the Pines officiating. Visitation will be held November 3, 2023, at 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at Boone Funeral Home.
Martin Roque was born in Iberville, Louisiana, on August 05, 1947. He Attended St> Matthew High School and continued on to receive a GED while in the Army.
Martin was Married to Dorothy Roque on October 21, 2000, and remained for 23 years.
He worked as a telephone operator for the Veterans Administration Medical Center for ten years. He enjoyed reading, watching TV, and trying different foods. He was also actively involved in his Bible and readings. He loved the Lord.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Eva Roque, and brother Al Roque.
Martin Roque is survived by Dorothy Roque (wife), step-grandchildren Alexis Balthazar, Travin Balthazar, Taja Gilder, and Jasmine Balthazar. Grandchildren are CJ Monette, Zoi Monette, Elizabeth Iles, Paul Iles Jr. Children are Chris Monette and Paul Iles, sister Marie Morgan, brothers Charles Roque and Oliver Roque, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
