Martin Ray Workman

Martin (Marty) Workman of Moore, Oklahoma passed away January 8, 2024 at the age of 56. He was born in Oklahoma City on May 20, 1967. Marty attended school in Mustang, Oklahoma where he developed a love of music. He was a very passionate and talented artist, playing guitar in a number of bands over the years. He loved fishing, spending time with his son, and had a great sense of humor, even making his hospice nurses laugh. Marty drove trucks for Yellow Roadway for years and took pride in his clean record with no accidents or tickets.
Left to treasure his memories are his son Brandon, his mother, Glenda Young, his father, Larry Workman, his sister Fara Coffey (Jack), nephews Ryan Brown (Christi) and Tyler Brown (Natosha), as well as many other family and friends.
Over the years Marty made the most wonderful friends, many of whom were able to visit with him before his passing. He had a houseful of friends and family every day, which he absolutely loved.
The family would like to thank Oklahoma Hospice for their kindness and compassion during a difficult time. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society or another program in Marty's memory.
A Family and Friends Gathering will take place Saturday, January 20th at 2:00 pm at a private residence in Newcastle. Guests will enjoy Marty's recorded music. Please contact the family for location details.
