Larry was born in Kiowa, Colorado on April 27, 1940 to Helen (Henshaw) and TJay Carwin. He retired as the President for Jet Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Larry was also a Veteran of the United States Army, where he was in the Airborne. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandson: Todd Buckman; parents: Helen and TJay Carwin; brother: Jay Carwin.
Survivors include his son: Larry Michael Carwin (Janet) from Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters: Terrell Lynn Buckman (Don) from Sundance, Wyoming and Tina Ann Vanderhorst (Chad) from Elkhorn, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held, Wednseday, August 2, 2023, 11:00 AM, Island Presbyterian Church, 14030 Fortuna Bay Dr. Corpus Christi, Texas 78418.A graveside service will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM., Pikes Peak VA National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Rd., Colorado Springs, CO. 80925.
