Marvia Kay Tillotson, 89, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was born to Oliver Khalil and Malinda May Wells Harris on July 30, 1934, in Malad, Idaho. She attended Blackfoot High School and Idaho State University.
She married Willis Jay Tillotson on June 8, 1953, in Pocatello, Idaho and was later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Kay worked as a housekeeper for the Ogden LDS Temple and held many positions for her church.
She is known for her love for her family, resourcefulness and humor. She enjoyed storytelling, various handcrafts, candy making and classic movies.
Kay is survived by her husband of 69 years, Willis Jay; her four children, Kristin (Mark) Rozelle, Kelly (Jerry) King, Bryan (Cheryl) Tillotson, and Lori (Marco) Martinez; as well as 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Afton Harris, Clifton Harris, Rodney Harris, Anne Brower; and grandson, Joel Greene.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Riverdale 2nd Ward Chapel, 5500 South 1175 West. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, at 3 p.m. at Malad City Cemetery.
