Marvin Joseph Farley, 94, passed away at Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone on Saturday, December 7, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1930, the son of Simon and Gertrude (Parish) Farley in Boone, Iowa. Marv graduated from Boone High School in 1950. After graduation, he made his home in Fullerton, California.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Joy Crouse on January 25, 1969. To this union, a son and a daughter were born. Marv and Joy moved from Los Angeles, California, to Mountain Home, Arkansas, after his retirement from Magniflux Corp. in 1992.
Marv enjoyed playing golf, fishing, home improvement projects, and traveling. Travel was a top priority for Marv and Joy. They enjoyed many years traveling across the United States in their motorhomes. Marv was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Boone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy; daughter, Mary Jo; granddaughter, Keely Megan Farley; brothers: Bob Farley, Dick Farley, and Donald Farley; and sister, Marjorie (Richard) Murphy.
Marvin is survived by his son, Jim (Sherry) Farley; sister, Joanne Hall; brother-in-law, Dale (Carol) Crouse; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
Services will be held at a later date.
