Marvin Gary Lanterman

Marvin 'Gary' Lanterman passed away on Sunday March 19, 2023 in Shelton, Washington. Gary was born December 27, 1954 in Richmond, Virginia to Marvin LaRoy and Barbara Lou (Jenkins) Lanterman. Gary lived in Shelton for 6 years, since moving in 2017 from Manassas, Virginia where he and his family had resided since April of 1993. Gary married the love of his life, Diana (McManus) Lanterman in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida June 6, 1983.
Gary served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1997. He enjoyed Harley motorcycles, classic cars, traveling with Diana in their RV and spending time with his grandchildren. Gary could often be found playing on the floor with his grandkids, or working on projects with his kids. Gary was kind and thoughtful and enjoyed long chats with friends and family. He was adventurous and always ready for a road trip.
Gary is survived by his wife, Diana, his sons Michael and Kevin (Leigh) Lanterman, his daughters Dawn Tarter and Shawna Borgmann (Phil), four brothers James, Craig (Val), Mark and Scott Lanterman (Nancy) and his grandchildren Rose, Otto, Sybil, Adeline and Harper. Gary is predeceased by his sister Debbie as well as his parents Marvin and Barbara Lanterman.
