Marvin Joseph Leazer Jr. passed away at home on October 12, 2025, after a brief illness.
He was born on July 13, 1944, in Rowan County to Marvin J. Leazer Sr. and Lorene Schenk Leazer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years Judy Basinger Leazer; son Marvin J. Leazer IIII (Bobbi) of Mt. Ulla; grandson Willis Joseph Leazer of the home; sisters Geraldine Aldridge of Salisbury and Peggy Winkler (Tony) of North Wilkesboro; sisters-in-law Virginia Long of Gastonia, Melba Pickler of Rockwell, and Sally Thompson (W.L.) of Salisbury; broth-in-law Tony Basinger Sr. of Rockwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Janet Leazer Wise.
Joe was a stonemason by trade and was the owner of Joe Leazer Stone Construction for years. His favorite hobby was fishing at the Outer Banks. He was a member of the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Post 342 and Voiture 40 & 8.
At Joe's request, there is no service.
