His Legacy Marvin Edward Sunday, age 91, passed away June 2, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Viola Sunday. Marv married his first wife and mother of his children, Sylvia, in 1952 who passed in 1971. He then married his loving wife, Willodene Ray, on November 22, 1975, in Roseville, Michigan. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Poppa. Marv had a great sense of humor and was a humble man who never bragged about himself, even as a highly decorated Korean War veteran. He never had a cross word to say to anyone, and was well-liked and respected by all who knew him. Marv was very active and enjoyed bowling, softball, and golfing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
His Family Marv will be missed by his children, Noel (Ida) Sunday, Daryl (Amy) Sunday, Sherry (Bob) Mack, Terry Ray; grandchildren, Kyle, Brittani, Chelsea, Leah; and great grandchildren, TJ and Piper Willodene. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia, late wife, Willodene, sister, Marilyn, brother, Floyd, and his parents.
His Farewell Marv's family and friends will gather for his burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Michigan at 1:00pm (gathering starting at 11am) on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
