Marvin Calvin Vail, 59, passed away at his home in Layton, Utah on August 21, 2024. Marv was born in Ogden, on October 12, 1964 to Leon M. and Barbara Jeppsen Vail. His siblings are; Gary and Ana Vail, Judy and Cary Isaacson, Sharon and Larry Gallegos and Jeff and Nancy Abel.
He attended elementary school in the Ogden city schools, junior high and high school in Blackfoot, Idaho. He married and divorced Janae Marks, Regina Lee, and Melissa Montgomery. He has four wonderful children. Bobbi Vail, Calvin, Carson and Corbin Vail
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day, Saints. He loved his Savior and Heavenly Father with all his heart. One of the happiest days of his life is when he went through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Temple and received his endowments.
He was a successful owner of an upholstery business for almost 40 years. He built lasting relationships with his customers.
Marv loved family above all things. He enjoys sports- especially football (Miami Dolphins), fishing, camping, golf and hunting. Marv always had a way of making people feel special. He was always funny, down to earth and personable. His smile and personality lit up the room.
This last year, Marv moved in to take care of his mother. He planted a beautiful flower and a robust vegetable garden for her. He was a true patriot and loved his country. He loved all gatherings with family, including reunions, holidays and birthdays.
He loved his dog, Princess.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin James Vail and Elva Neilson Vail, his father Leon M. Vail, brother-in-law and sister Cary and Judi Isaacson. Surviving are his loving mother, Barbara Jeppson Pine, his children; Bobbi, Calvin, Carson and Corbin Vail, sister Sharon (Larry) Gallegos brothers, Gary (Ana) Vail and Jeff (Nancy) Abel and his grandson, Devonte Vail
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 4, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Layton East Stake Center, 1015 Emerald Drive, Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
