Mary Ann passed peacefully in her home Monday, December 22, 2025. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Ludwig J. Abruzzo, her parents Sebastian and Mary Daidone, her brother Joseph Daidone. She is survived by her 5 children, Jack Abruzzo, Grace Abruzzo, Anne Principe and husband Mike, Ludwig Abruzzo and wife Tracy, Stephen Abruzzo and wife Karen; 15 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

She was born October 1, 1936 in Greenpoint Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived on Central Avenue in Brooklyn for 18 years until her family moved to Ozone Park in Queens. She attended St. Martin of Tours from Kindergarten through Eighth grade and graduated from Biship McDonald High School.

Mary Ann married Ludwig on August 25, 1956 and was a stay-at-home Mom to her 5 children. When her youngest was in elementary school she went to Suffolk County Community College for 7 years at night for her Associates Degree. Mary Ann worked as an Executive Secretary in the Empire State Building and then as a legal secretary with her husband in his Law firm. She was very proud of the work she did at Jacobsons Department Store as an Executive Assistant for 9 years in Naples, Florida.

She was a devout Roman Catholic and became a Eucharistic Minister. She devoted many years doing volunteer work in the church and in the community teaching English as a second language to children and adults.

Viewing at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, Florida on Tuesday, January 6th from 2pm to 6pm

Funeral Mass at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach on Wednesday January 7th at 11am

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
