DeBruin, Mary Anne T. (nee Lindbloom)
Age 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Mary Anne is survived by her loving family, children, Brian (Lucy) DeBruin, Beth (Andrew) Cunningham, Kevin (Kate) DeBruin, Erin (Brian) Skibinski, loving grandchildren, Thomas, William, Anna DeBruin; Allison (Eddie), Emily, Colin Cunningham; Nano DeBruin; Russell, George, Caroline Skibinski; siblings, Rita (John) Fisher, Leo (Kathy) Lindbloom, Mark (Jennifer) Lindbloom, sister-in-laws Diane Anderson and Sheri Lindbloom, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Anne is preceded in death by her adoring husband of 32 years, Russell DeBruin, parents Leo and Nano Lindbloom, and brother Joseph Lindbloom.
Mary Anne was born in Chicago and grew up in the Roseland neighborhood across the street from her future husband. She attended St. John de la Salle grammar school and Academy of Our Lady (Longwood Academy) high school. She worked at Illinois Bell before marrying and dedicating her life to raising her children. Mary Anne was an active member of St. Kieran’s parish and school in Chicago Heights as a member of the Women’s Club and Bingo captain. She was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and was thrilled to see her Cubbies finally win the World Series. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and partying with her friends and large Irish family, but most of all she loved being Nana to her ten grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 9525 Lawndale Ave. Evergreen Park, Illinois 60805 on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 10AM – 11:30AM. A Mass of Christian burial will take place following the visitation at 11:30AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, Illinois 60803.
