Mary Anne Arabian, originally of Reading, MA, passed away on December 26, 2023. The daughter of Mesrob and Sarah Arabian, Mary Anne was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston, Holy Cross and a 1959 graduate of Boston State Teachers' College (now Univ. of Mass.)
An elementary school teacher in Wakefield for 34 years, she later earned a MA from Northeastern University and also went on to Boston University for accreditation as a school librarian.
Mary Anne felt she was blessed with an extended family of cousins. She especially enjoyed the most recent additions: Lindsey and Jacob Hovey, Aiden Hekesy, Jon Ethan George, and Cameron Lyles.
She loved to travel in the U.S. and Europe with her friends and cousins. Her two favorite sports were basketball and baseball. She was an avid Celtics and Red Sox fan and held Celtic season tickets for many years.
Everyone knew Mary Anne had an affinity for dogs, especially her faithful furry companion Cookie. During her daily walks, she would supply the neighborhood dogs with treats.
