Mary Bailey Obituary
Born September 17th, 1932, to George and Mary (Ellsworth) VanHorn in Townsend at her great grandmother's house and was delivered by her grandmom on the same day Townsend Elementary School was dedicated. She attended and graduated 8th grade from Townsend Elementary and then graduated from Middletown High School, class of 1950.
Mary was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church in Middletown, MOT Senior Center and a past member of the Women of Moose.
She was preceded in death by her parents George & Mary VanHorn, first husband Grover A Hall Sr., her baby daughter, Beverly Jean Hall, sons Grover Alex Hall Jr & Charles (Charlie) Hall her second husband Harold Bailey, son-in-law Joseph (Joey) Bukowski, stepdaughter, Diane Harper, and step son-in-law, Robert Harper and grandsons Harold Bailey Jr. & Gabriel Wolfe.
Mary is survived by her children, Karen A. (Hall) Bukowski and David A. Hall Sr (Barbaranne), stepdaughter, Lisa Fries (Jim), and stepson, Buck Bailey (Theresa).
Grandchildren: Amanda & Sean Smith, David A Hall Jr & Kayla Secoy, Brandy & Turner Kahn, Wanda Hall mother of Ashley Hall, Jayla & Brian Seals, Ashley & Connor Swalm, Jenna Fries & Noah Cicogna, Robert & Lisa Harper Jr, Gary Harper and Jenifer Harris, Penny Harper, Jimmy Harper, Cyndi and Thomas Connelly, Shelly & Richard Clegg, Michele & Rick Davis, Julie & Troy, Kelly & Travis, Valerie, Lexie Hall, Claire, Brandi Davis and Taylor Hashman, Bradley Davis and Summer Davis.
Great Grandchildren: Luna Swalm, Lucia Swalm, Brayden Smith, Austin Hall, Marisa Seals, Amber, Daniel, Madison, Conner, Christian, Caitlyn, Megan, Dennis, Alivia, Serenity, David, Robert John Harper, Abbie & Christopher Moyer, Jason Harper, Haley Harper and Dominique Rickenbacker, Alysha Harper and Andrew Wolfe, Sadie Mae Rhodes, Bailey Rhodes, Corban Clegg, Courtney & John Freebairn, Brandi Davis, Bradley Davis and Harper Connelly.
Great Great Grandchildren: Colton Moyer, Zane Moyer, Tristan Moyer, Easton Wolfe, Graelynn Harper, Grayson Harper, Luke Freebairn, Crew Freebairn, Isabelle Davis, Bradyn Davis, Jakye McLamb, and Mya Dailey.
Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 3rd at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE. Friends may call from 10 am – 12 pm, the service will begin at Noon. Interment will be in the Townsend Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary's memory to Bethesda UMC, 116 E. Main St., Middletown, DE 19709 or to Townsend Fire Company, 107 Main St., Townsend, DE 19734.
