Raymona E. Allen

On December 16, 2025, God, in His infinite wisdom and divine love, called our beloved Raymona Edna Allen, affectionately known as Pete, Peaches, and Mona, to her eternal rest.
Raymona was born on April 23, 1955, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Raymond B. Allen, Sr. and Pearl (Henry) Allen. She received her education at Louis L. Redding School and graduated from Middletown High School. Mona was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, Delaware. Mona took pride in her community and the people in it. Throughout her life, she held various jobs and was most recently employed at Goodwill as a stocker, where she was known for her dedication, reliability, and kind spirit.
Mona had a deep love for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for her family and loved ones. She had an undeniable passion for music and loved to sing and dance. Even when she didn't know the words to a song, she sang anyway, bringing laughter, energy, and happiness wherever she went. Mona had a natural way of making people laugh without even trying. Mona had a heart of Gold.
She attended Evangelist Temple of Truth Church in Wilmington, Delaware, where she was a faithful member of the choir.
In addition to her parents, Raymona was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Rothwell and Andrea Allen, and her nephew, Raymond B. Allen, III.
Mona leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children, Atannea Church and Junious Coley; her brother, Raymond B. Allen, Jr. (Stephanie); her beloved grandchildren, Ronya, Ronald, and Jahmira; her uncle, Isaac Henry, Sr.; her aunt, Louise Henry; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; one devoted cousin, Nadine Johnson; and two devoted friends, Elder Brenda Williams and Faye Henry.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2025, from 11am-12pm at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709. The service will begin at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed in Raymona's memory to Raymond Allen, 296 Burnham Lane, Dover, DE 19904, to help cover the cost of the funeral expenses.
