Mary T Barnes

Mary T Barnes, of Chicago, IL, passed away in her sleep on April 4, 2025, after battling a long illness.
Mary was born April 15, 1948 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Benola(Brooks) and Harry Williams (including mother's maiden name).
Mary graduated J.N. Thorp Elementary School and attended Bowen High School.
After a long and loving courtship of approximately 10 years, the two decided to Make a life together and became one in Feb 1983. From this union they produced a son, Henry III.
Mary loved to cook and entertain her family. She also enjoyed playing volleyball with family and friends. Mary was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and children.
As a child Mary was a member of Rising Sun Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Rev. Burgess.
Mary was a loving and reliable sister. She was always willing to give to anyone in need. Mary loved hard and deeply and that can be proven by her love for Henry as she followed him thru life.
Remaining to cherish Mary's memory are children, Val, Bradford, Keith, Henry III; brother, Ferry; sisters, Lucille, Shirley; grandchildren, Brayzal, Morgan, Val Jr, Noah and a host of nieces and nephews cousins and many dear friends.
Preceding Mary in death are her spouse, Henry; parents, Benola and Harry; brothers, Harry Jr., Robert, Edward, Hubert, John; sisters, Nanny, Ethel, Viola, Bessie; nieces and nephews, Valentino, Lavida, Eddy, Fred, Cornelius;
Funeral Services will be held April 18 at 11:00am at Noble Funeral Home 8158 S Exchange Ave, with Rev. Donald Hubert officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Glenwood Memory Gardens in Glenwood, IL
