Mary H. Beiswenger, age 64 of Corning, NY passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Corning Hospital with her family by her side.
Born on November 16, 1960 in Bath, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Pragle) Champlain. She married Donald Beiswenger on August 5, 2006. Mary worked as a daily living skills advisor for Arbor Housing and Development for over 10 years.
Mary will be remembered for her big heart and her giving spirit. Over the years she participated in various charity events at the Bath VA, using her love of baking to make dozens upon dozens of cookies. When she wasn't using her baking skills for charity events, she enjoyed making simple treats - specifically M&M cookies and puppy chow for her grandchildren. Her greatest love in life was her family - always providing them with her infamous bear hugs. Mary also enjoyed flowers, especially roses.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Donald Beiswenger of Corning, NY; daughter, Lynn Lederer of Corning, NY; step-children: Shawn Beiswenger of Corning, NY, Lindsay (Tommy) High of Arizona; grandchildren: Matthew Greenawalt, Nathaniel Greenawalt, Samantha Darling; siblings: Shirley (Harold) Kirkham of Campbell, NY, Charles (Audrey) Champlain of Thurston, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by aunt and uncle, Irene and Jerrold Champlain.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 11. 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St. Corning, NY.
