Mary Ann Biasi, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15th, 2023.
Mary was a beautiful and loving wife and mom who had a heart of gold.
Beloved wife of the late Primo V. Biasi. Loving mother of Larry, Jim (Cindy) and Bob. Fond grandmother of Carrie, Kate (Kenny) Carter, Sue (Ryan) Burchfield, Maria (Nicholas) Marks, Leah (Eric) Wilhite and Jennifer. Great-grandmother of Riley, Evelyn, Avery, Allie, Madison, and Julian. Dear sister of Molly (the late Joseph) Bodo, Rose (the late Carl) Menconi, and the late Lee (the late Charles) Guidry.
Mary was the the third oldest of four girls, Lee, Molly, and Rosie. She was raised by her parents Vittoria nee Cogetto and Riccardo Bressan at 2324 N. Moody Ave in Chicago. She attended Dever Elementary and Steinmetz High School where she attended her senior prom with Primo. She worked at Allstate Insurance as a keypunch operator after high school. Mary and Primo were married at St. Priscilla church on July 14th, 1951. She was a devout Catholic attending church daily. She was very involved with the Saint Juliana parish where she and Primo worked on many fundraisers along with helping with Boy Scout Troop 965, where all her boys participated. Mary loved to crochet and garden. She always took pride in having a beautiful garden, flower beds, and lawn. Always the hardest worker, she taught her boys to have the highest work ethic. She was generous to everyone and so many of her family and friends treasure her handmade crocheted blankets. She loved cooking and her specialties were homemade ravioli and breaded pork tenderloin.
Mary was the best grandmother to all her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Mary's Life at 11:15 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave, Chicago. Mass 11:30 AM.
