Born in
Madison, Wisconsin, to parents Albert and Cassilda Berg, Mary's family relocated to the Seattle area when she was just four years old. Mary was one of eight nine children, born into a family that instilled in her the values of kindness, generosity, and community engagement. Gig Harbor, WA in retirement where Mel predeceased Mary in 2014.
Throughout her life, Mary exemplified a spirit of selflessness and dedication to others. She volunteered for numerous organizations, including CYO Sports, Catholic Refugee Services (1970s & 80s) and the Harbor History Museum. She was always eager to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Mary's legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her community. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her for her gentle spirit and her willingness to always put others first.
