Mary Jo Bolf, 81, a resident of Wilke Lake, rural Kiel, died on July 31, 2024 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in Sheboygan on April 24, 1943 daughter of the late Millard and Florence (Duxbury) Bell. Mary Jo was a 1961 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. She went on to receive her nursing degree in 1964 from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac. Mary Jo worked for 45 years in Psychiatric and Orthopedics at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital until her retirement.
On May 1, 1965 she was united in marriage to Jerome Bolf at St. Mary's Church in Sheboygan Falls. She and Jerry greatly enjoyed traveling worldwide and camping in many locations. They took skiing trips to Europe and Lake Tahoe and they also wintered in Florida for many years. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, sewing, flower gardening and bird watching, especially mourning doves. Mary Jo was known to enjoy her gambling trips to the casinos and had a love of playing mahjong and other board games. She was talented at crafting and attended many shows to sell her creations. In her leisure time she could be found taking a pontoon ride around Wilke Lake.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years; Jerry, her two sons; Mike Bolf and Mark (Penny) Bolf, grandchildren; Eli, Mclain, Keagan and Max Bolf, a sister; Kathy (Richard) Specht, nieces; Abby (Wade) Sebald and Jamie Hitsman along with their children; Jada Lorenz, Brynlee Sebald, Jordy and Bryce Hitsman. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law; Gary Lorenz.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at 12:00pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill (11928 Marken Rd., Kiel) A time of visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:30am until the time of Mass at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name. Mary Jo's family would like to thank the caring staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her last days.

Mary Jo always had a smile and a funny thought to share. As we both were nurses at Memorial for MANY years our paths would often crossed.
