Mary K. Boone

Mary K. Barrett Boone, age 76, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025 at Stamford Hospital. She was born on February 5, 1949 in Carthage, North Carolina to Thomas Barrett and Pearl Cobb Barrett. Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Boone. She retired from the Childcare Learning Center after many years of service. She was a dedicated mother and a loving and nurturing grandmother who gave generously to all who knew and loved her. Her life was a blessing and her memory will be treasured by her daughter; Sherita Boone, three sons; Brian Barrett, Travis Barrett and Thomas Boone, Jr., sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her sister; Marilyn Barrett, special niece; Katrina McLean White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Morris Foreman, her brother; Eugene Barrett, two sisters; Olivia Barrett Ellerbee and Sadie Barrett Goethe. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Bethel AME Church, 150 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. CT. 06902, Apostle Michael Densmore officiant. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
