Mary Bowin Obituary
She was born in Medina on March 6, 1934 and was the daughter of Francis and Jean O'Brien. Mary Jeanne graduated from Medina High School in 1952 and went on to attend Buffalo State College and Brockport State, graduating in 1956. She taught primary school in Kenmore and Gasport for 28 years, retiring in 1991.
Mary Jeanne is survived by her husband, Roger Bowin of Albion; children, Dr. John (Jennifer) Bowin of California and Amy (Andrew) Douglass of Chicago; and three grandchildren, Sara Bowin, Adeline Douglass and Eleanor Douglass. She was predeceased by her son, Mark E. Bowin in 2014; and brother, Edward O'Brien in 2011.
At her request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
