Mary Ellen Breshears (Wilkes) was born on June 1, 1936 in Houston, Texas and on a Sunday morning May 4, 2025 passed into the loving care of our Heavenly Father.
Mary is preceded in passing by her parents Charlie Perry and Dorothy Wilkes, sisters; Caralyn Meryers, Linda Brown, brother David Wilkes and her son Paul Manley.
She is survived by her sisters; Fran Averett, Daisy Hicks, brother Dan Wilkes. Her children; Joseph Manley of Biloxi, David (Diane) Manley of Ocean Springs, Charlie (Pam) Manley of Mobile, AL, Kim Manley of Pearland, TX, and numerous grand and great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Mary loved family gatherings, especially at Christmas where she would put on a large spread of delicious food and deserts. She loved all animals especially her puppies, Sissy and Jenny. Mary was never poor in kindness toward other people even a stranger. Being a military wife she lived in Germany, California, Maryland, Wyoming, Texas and Mississippi. She worked many years for Marshalls then retiring in 2009 and settled in Ocean Springs. We would like to thank Ocean Springs Health and Rehab nurses, CNAs, and staff who became like family for taking care of our Mother's wants and needs during her lengthy stay. We would like to thank Singing River Hospice of Light for the compassionate care our Mother received during her final hours with us.
The Apostle Paul wrote,"There are three things that last forever; Faith, Hope, and Love, but the greatest of them all is Love."
We Love you Mother, Rest in Peace
