Mary Suzanne "Suz" "Foofie" Buick, age 75 of Villisca, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, with Family by her side.
Mary was born on October 14, 1947, in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond L. and Norma A. (Nelsen) Winther.
Mary was raised on a farm East of Morton Mills, where she was in 4-H and a member of the Strand Church.
Mary graduated from Villisca High School in 1965 and then went on to beauty school in Omaha. After working as a beautician, she went to work for the Union Carbide Plant in Red Oak for many years.
Mary was united in marriage for 13 years to Lawrence "Larry" Buick. Born into this union was Mary's pride and joy, Bryan Cody Buick.
Mary was a homemaker who loved baking, making mints, being ornery, and loving with her whole heart.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond L. Winther and Norma A. (Nelsen) Winther; sister, Denice (Winther) Comes; brother, Mark Winther; and nephew, Layne Eno Comes.
Survivors include her son Bryan Buick and wife Marjie of Red Oak, IA; grandsons Dylan Buick and Emilee Maurer of Graham, Mo.; Kaden Buick of Essex, Iowa; and great-grandchildren Adalynn, Bentley, and Carsyn of Graham, Mo.; and brothers Craig Winther of Villisca, IA; and Cody Winther of Villisca, IA; sister Debra "Chris" Shipley and husband Marvin of Tenville, IA; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
