Mary Burgess, 74, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Signature HealthCARE at Hillcrest. She was born April 17, 1949, to the late John Mauzey and Laurita Lyons.
Mary was known for her nurturing nature, passion for education, and unwavering dedication to her students. She dedicated over 25 years of her life to teaching elementary school and special education in the Daviess County School System. Beyond her career, Mary enjoyed enriching experiences such as traveling through Europe, where she explored majestic cathedrals and found solace in the beauty of nature while camping in Greece.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a brother, John Mauzey Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Brian Judd; and grandchildren, Andrew and Joanna Judd.
