Mary J. Carr

Mary J. Carr, 73, of Plainfield, passed away March 23, 2023. She was born April 16, 1949 to the late Frank and Josephine (Knight) Mack in Indianapolis, IN. She worked in the operations department at Allison's GM Plant for over 20 years. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also loved to travel to see new places, and animals (she always had a dog). She never met a stranger and could relate to almost anyone. She will be dearly missed. Mary is survived by two sons, Robert (Kristie) and Randy (Paula) Carr; a daughter, Traci (Michael) Mason; a brother, Frank (Josephine) Mack; 7 grandchildren, Tawni Keller, Ryne Carr, Bobby Carr, Miranda Carr, Jackie Mason, Caleb Mason, and Ava Elliott; and 2 great grandchildren, Presli Harris and Ivory Mason. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Carr. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Friends of the Shelter.
