I met Mary through a Life Bridge Christian church work crew which responded to the devastation of Lyons and surrounding areas due to severe flooding. She was a hard worker, funny as heck and we worked together for many weekends over several months. She was a generous soul.
I also saw her every Friday or Saturday at the Mountain States Children“s Hime Thrift store. She would tease my husband about loading up my cart with things to buy and she and I would share political "news."
I will miss her.

I am so sad to hear that my longtime friend has passed. We first met in high-school and hung around each other for many years afterwards. We did quite a bit together until I moved to AZ in '91. I would still try to meet up with her on my visits home as I didn't trust anyone but her with my hair. I still have not found anyone as good as her in cutting my hair. I have only my memories now and am so thankful I will see her again in Heaven. My prayers for all the family at this very hard time. "Mary, you were a dear friend and I am going to miss you tremendously!"

Mary and I would joke with each other a lot, but my most memorable time with her is when I was buying a hair dryer from the Thrift Store. I was going to use it in my wood shop. Since I have no hair on the top of my head, she asked "What are YOU going to do with a HAIR DRYER?" I miss her.

My memories of Mary go back to high school. She was a beautiful person who always had a smile and kind word to make you laugh or make your day better. Blessings to her family at this time of sorrow.

My condolences to my neighbors, the Kurtzhals family, I remember Mary as the baby in the family and quite a few years younger than me. May she rest in peace.
