Mrs. Mary Frances Childs

Mrs. Mary Frances Campbell Childs, 98, of Royston, GA passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Childs was born in Madison County, GA on August 4, 1927, daughter of the late Richard Campbell and the late Donnie Fowler Campbell. She was a seamstress, homemaker and prolific published poet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calvin Childs; brothers, Al Campbell, Denver Campbell, Toy Joe "T.J." Campbell, and Letcher Campbell; and sisters, Annie Sue Garland, Ree Beard, Joyce Campbell, Florence Simmons, and Decie Lee Bryant. Survivors include many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service for Mrs. Childs will be held in the Franklin Memorial Gardens-South at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, with Rev. Tim Campbell officiating. During other times the family will be at their respective homes. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
