Mrs. Jean Whitfield West, 88, of Marietta, GA passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Wellstone Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Mrs. West was born in Toccoa, GA on March 1, 1937, daughter of the late Olin Whitfield and the late Lucile Ragsdale Whitfield. She was a payroll administrator having worked at Sears and attended Mt Bethel Church in Marietta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clinton West. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Timothy West and Becky of Marietta, GA, and Scott Anthony West and Kathryn of Fairhope, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Joel Dilworth and Anderson of Royston, GA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. West will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. During other times the family will be at their respective homes. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Mt Bethel Church at 4385 Lower Roswell Road Marietta, GA 30068. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
