Mary Clemons, age 77, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 29, 2024. She was born in Alabama on June 2, 1947 to James "Allen" and Dorothy "Dot" Phillips who preceded her in death. Mary had many hobbies that she enjoyed before her dementia diagnosis. She thoroughly enjoyed playing her computer games (especially Pogo). She could sit for hours on her Apple IIe. She loved her arts and crafts and proudly made sure she had all shades of every color of paint for each project. If she wasn't at home, she could most likely be found bowling, crabbing, or walking the beach (especially Buckroe).
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, James Clemons; her daughters Stacey Landis (Jeremy) and Rhonda Crum; her granddaughters Katie St. Pierre (Nick) and Sarah Prince; 2 great-granddaughters Brooke Mathes and Natalie St. Pierre; her sister Patricia Walsh (Jimmy); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her fur baby, Coco, who misses her deeply.
A Celebration of Life has been planned for September 27, 2024 from 4-7 pm at St Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall; 807 W. Mercury Blvd; Hampton, VA 23666.
