Mary Irma Webb Cody, 94 of Zanesville died at 8:57 AM Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

She was born April 12, 1931, in Monroe, NC, the daughter of Eugene Herbert Webb and Nora Elizabeth Smith Webb.

Irma was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and graduated from Union High School June 2, 1949, and then attended Montreat College for one year. She later worked as a secretary at a local trucking company prior to starting her family. Irma had worked at Kroger where she especially enjoyed her coworkers and customers. Irma volunteered for many years with Girl Scouts from leader to regional director and was also a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was involved with the board at the Doug Pomeroy Youth Center, now known as Eastside Community Ministry and especially loved being a mom and working with children in any capacity.

Irma is survived by her daughters; Karen (Dave) Lowe and Theresa "Theri" Kackley; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" A. Cody who she married April 28, 1951 and passed away May 10, 2020; son, James Timothy Cody; daughter, Sandra Gail Bryan; four brothers, Morris Lee Webb, Yates Webb, Carroll Webb and Myron Webb; a sister, Norma Stegall; and a great grandson, Keaton Cody Reed.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with funeral service at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Pastor Tara Mitchell officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
