Michael "Mike" T. "Mike" Fraunfelter

Michael "Mike" T. Fraunfelter, 78, of Zanesville passed at 9:32 PM Friday, August 8, 2025, at Primrose Retirement Community.

He was born on December 4, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late William L. Fraunfelter and Dorothy A. Dusenberry Fraunfelter.

Mike graduated from Zanesville High School, class of 1965. He was employed with Big Bear Stores early in life, then with Coconis Furniture for 35 years. He was an avid Buckeyes Fan. Mike was a past member of the South Zanesville Fire Department.

He is survived by his three sons: Brian (Melissa Toretch) Fraunfelter of Glouster, OH, Randy Fraunfelter of Greer, SC, Kevin (Misty) Fraunfelter, Talbott, TN; grandchildren, Josh (Heather) Fraunfelter of Cambridge, OH, Brianne Fraunfelter of Glouster, Ohio, Rhet (Selina) Fraunfelter of Greer, SC, Allie Fraunfelter of Lancaster, SC, and Cody Baker of Zanesville, OH, Emily Royston of Talbot, TN, Kamryn and Mckinley Fraunfelter of Talbot, TN; and six great grandchildren, Gabriella and Landon Fraunfelter of Cambridge, OH, Reid and Waylon Fraunfelter of Greer, SC, and Reece and Bailee Baker of Zanesville, OH; one brother William Patrick Fraunfelter of Florida; several cousins, nieces and nephews; special nephew Bo (Nicole) Coconis; and special friend Mike Walters of South Zanesville.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn S. "Sue" Fraunfelter; mother and father-in-law, Gene and Mary Dalton; and Sister-in-law, Debby Coconis.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mike's name to the South Zanesville Volunteer Fire Department, 24 East Main Street Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
