Mary Ann Colborn

Mary Ann Colborn, 95, of Winnebago, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Liberty Village of Freeport. Mary Ann was born March 6, 1930 in Freeport, the daughter of John R and Florence (King) Merchant. She married Robert "Bob" W. Colborn in Lanark on April 1, 1951, he predeceased her on January 20, 2007.

Mary Ann loved being the mother of her boys. She adored her grandkids and enjoyed following their pursuits. She was very artistic and had a great sense of style, always ensuring her home was representative of her tastes and charm. Deeply private, her favorite activities centered on spending time with her family. Many family gatherings were celebrated around meals Mary lovingly cooked. A home filled with her five boys and their humor brought her great joy.

Survivors include her five sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Nancy Colborn, Joseph Colborn, John Colborn, Tim and Jana Colborn, and Jeff and Carol Colborn; and grandchildren, Krista, Kyle, Kayla, Hilary, Will, Grant and Clay; and numerous great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one son, William Gordon Colborn
